I want to start making and adding text overlays into my videos, such as titles, hard to explain, you can see what I mean in the video below:

Bottom left, at just before 2 seconds into the video. How do you make an animation such as that? I want to make one that I can reuse by changing the text for different videos :’0

When the animation Starts, it seems that some Stokes or light streaks have been used here.

You can create them using mask tool on white solid.

Animate there position from left to right and use them as Alpha or Luma matte.

You have to play around with the Opacity of matte and Text.

Also, I think Venetian Blinds Transition is used to revealing the Text.

    Thanks for the reply!

So I’m guessing this is one of the easier things to do in AE. Is there any good tutorials you know off that could teach me how to do it. Not much experience in AE =)

Start with VideoCopilots Basic Training. That should get you started on creating lower thirds.

For Chroma keying, watch the tutorial by Aharon Rabinowitz on creating Garbage mattes:

Also if you are new to AE, you can start learn all tutorials from page 7(https://allbetsareoff.com/category/tutorials/) as this will help you to understand a lot of things.
