    Hi,

    I’ve just created this animation:

At 0:26 you will see that I have animated some curtains to come across the screen using the puppet tool. I was quite happy with the results (tho it took me ages and I’m a perfectionist!).

For another customers animation, I’m thinking of having a curtain over an object and then using the puppet tool to whip it off.

I’m guessing this is going to be a complete nightmare and I’m not going to be happy with the result?

If you have any knowledge of cloth simulation in any 3d app… it will be way faster and painless to do a simple mesh there put the cloth on and revealing it. Usually the trouble is to make the cloth look like the rest of your illustrations.

FreeForm or FreeForm Pro may help you here since you can combine 3d distort with 3d displacement.

    Mr. Lawer
Its better if you will use a 3D application for it. There are many tutorials for cloth simulation in Maya, Cinema 4D and 3DS Max in youtube.
