The best way to explain it is really just showing what I mean; I’m trying to achieve the following effect — or something of the sort — in AE:

I know this is probably in the drawing itself; that is, not an AE effect at all but actually drawn, but I’m guessing there might be a way of getting pretty close to it.

Initially, I thought I might be able to use Echo and Roughen Edges to achieve something similar but I’m having trouble getting it to work.

Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated! Cheers!
