How to create a snap/magnetic effect
Client wants this background that comes in from right to left to snap at the end with maybe a little movement. Almost like it was attracted by a magnet, etc. I’ve played around with keyframes, but can’t seem to get the right look. Going for a View-Master kind of look, etc. If you look at the video clip below, it’s just a smooth transition from one background to the next. He wants it to start smooth, but then snap into place, etc.

Yes, this is the exact logo we are working on. The scenes rotate behind the main logo. I’ve put them on a rotating circle in another comp. There are 6 of them and he wants them to “snap” when they stop. Just trying to figure out how to achieve that look where when they come in the stop is more rapid and quick.

For this you can use the Speed graph to create the “snap” effect. Here’s an example along with screenshots of the speed and value graphs to help you.
