How to create a shutter drag effect?
Hey guys!
I was wondering if it i’s possible to do a shutter drag effect on a moving 2D asset (PNG), I have tried a lot of different things but can’t seem to find the right method…
I haven’t been able to get the right type of blur or have it stay permanently, not sure what else i could try…
I’ve tried using Echo, and some other effect (Which i don’t remember what it is sorry ☹ )

Are you talking about rolling shutter artefacts, or just some kind of motion blur?
Rolling shutter can be done with the time displacement effect fed by a horizontal gradient.
You would need a very very high setting for time resolution and it would render extremely slow -
That’s close! But the trail isn’t permanent unfortunately, it also doesn’t seem to work with keyframed PNGs 🙁

It’s a kind of motion blur/ghosting, It happens when a constant light source is cast onto a moving object while using high shutter times (Over a second usually)
