How do I copy specific attributes from a 3D text node to multiple 3D Text nodes in fusion ?
    Thanks in advance.

Fusion doesn’t work the same way as an NLE would in this respect. You can’t do the standard copy and paste attributes routine.

There are different ways you could approach this.

    a) You could Publish the parameters you want your text objects to share and then link them.

    b) You could create Instances of the main text object and deinstance the parameters you don’t want linked – for example you would deinstance the text field itself so you could enter different text.

Personally I’d go with the second route. There are no doubt others.

Thank you! How do you deinstance?

Right-click any parameter in the Instance and choose Deinstance.

(Note you can always Reinstance too if you need to.)

Thanks Simon but right click for me doesn’t show that operation, hmmm.

Have you made your Instance correctly?

If you have, then all the parameters will have boxes around them to indicate that they are instanced.

Right-clicking on the name of any parameter (e.g Styled Text, or Size, etc) will bring up the the Deinstance dialogue.

It’s exactly the action as if you wanted to add a keyframe or Publish a parameter or add an Expression.

Are you saying you don’t see any of those options either?
