    Hi,

Seems to be my week for technical hurdles!

I have a been sent a DVD from my client which he wants me to edit down. The files on the disk are:
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP

How do I extract them to work with them in FCP?

    Thanks

Look at file size…bup, ifo are navigation files and are kilobytes. The VOB will be sized appropriately and are the only files u need to deal with.

VOB are muxed video files…you’ll need a program like mpeg streamclip to demux and transcode to an editable format.

Handbrake can also likely convert it for you.
