How to convert NTSC to PAL

I accedently shoot footage in NTSC and I need it in PAL. I have read that it is not so simple. Can someone please explain to me how this is done?

April 25, 2007 at 7:18 pmFor NTSC to PAL conversion either version will work, Procoder has more other functions, also like Dave mentioned if you have AFX it will also convert.

I tried to simply export the NTSC footage while choosing PAL in my export options and the output has great quality and shows that the exported clip is PAL 25fps… so I don’t understand why you can’t just do it this way? In premiere pro, just to export it as PAL… it seems to work… What am I missing here?
