  How to constraint the stamp tool movement to a straight line

  i need to create a clean plate for roto. There’s a subject walking up a staircase that needs to be removed. I’m using the stamp tool and would like to find a way to limit my brush stroke to a straight line. Is this possible with the Stamp tool ?

  On a side not, are there any good photoshop tutorial related to roto painting ?
