  • How to change text like the Decoder Fade In?

    Okay, there just wasn’t enough room in that title to adequately explain this.

    What I want to do is similar to the decoder effect. Spinning letters that wind up saying what you type in. However, I want them to start from one line of text, randomly “decode,” and land on another line of text.

    So, the text would change from:

    THIS IS A TOTALLY AWESOME

    to

    DVH FVOEVN OEIVLAE FOE

    to

    BOLOGNA SANDWICH

    Obviously, the part in the middle would be a second or so of the letters randomly and rapidly changing.

    Help, please!

    use two text layers and fade between the two. The first goes to the random letters, the second goes from random to words. That seems easiest to me since the number of letters differs.

    I think it’s much easier;
    at maximum randomness just change the sourcetext with a keyframe

    i am curious about this too, is there an easier way of doing this with out tons of keyframes?
