  • How to change subtitle aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3?

    Hi!

    A little problem I can’t solve…

There’s a DVD project consisting of many subtitled timelines (subtitles are done in Encore, not imported as images etc).
In the beginning whole project was ment to be in 16:9 aspect ratio, so I did all the subtitling in timelines set as 16:9.
Now some timelines must be changed to 4:3 and this is where the problems start…
When I change timeline aspect ratio to 4:3, subtitle text presses along (letters look stretched vertically). I need them to look normally (not pressed from sides).

I tried different fonts and font appearing styles but nothing helps.

Are there any tricks for solving this?

    P.S. I use Encore DVD 2.0

    That is a tough one…

Have you tried selecting all the subtitle clips, then changing the font in the Subtitle properties? And then change back, if you like.

    Does that fix it?

Nope – letters still stay stretched…
