  • How to change groups in contents to layers itself (outlines from .ai)

Posted by Ludo Poot on March 12, 2015 at 11:06 am

    Hi all,

I am searching a way to change all the groups in the contents of my outlines layer to layers itself to animate.

    1 I inported a illustrator file
2 then create outlines from vector layer
3 now there is 1 layer with all the outlines (groups) in the contents

So far so good. But now I want to animate all the created outlines (now groups).

And this is a pain in the butt when they are groups in the contents: I can’t select them from the visual window (only in the contents list, I can’t use shortcuts as they control the whole layer.

As an update to this, you can now use overlord to command shape layers between illustrator with a lot more ease and control.
This script has changed my life, highly recommended !

    THANKS !!!
