  • How to burn blu-ray ISO with BDMV folder

I’m having trouble burning a blu-ray. Any help would be appreciated.

A few months ago, I created a simple blu-ray project in Encore CS5. One 1080p video track, 1 stereo audio, one 5.1 Dolby. No menus or anything fancy. I burned several blu-ray discs, and made an ISO for backup. Now I’m trying to burn that ISO using Encore CS6, but my blu-ray player won’t play it. I can play it in “Aurora Bluray Player” for mac, as well as VLC. What am I doing wrong?

My blu-ray player is a Samsung BD-C5500. It played the discs I burned the first round back in May. Those were Memorex discs, from the same box that I’m using now.

Looking inside the ISO, I see a BDMV folder. From what I understand, BDMV only works with commercially made discs, but I’m not sure if that’s true.

    elliott,
BDMV-folder doesn´t only work from commercial discs. they work with burned media as well.

as long as your ISO-file have been working with any BD-player it should also work now.

the ISO-file contains the necessary UDF2.5-file-system that is required by all BD-player.

make sure you bought quality-media like verbatim or tajo yuden.

    cheers
