How to bend a clip???
Anyone know how to BEND a clip? I know how to use the distort tool to change the look of a clip after you size it down. What I would like to know now is how to take that clip and bend it so it looks like its curved. So if you resize your clip and scale it down some, then use the distort tool to stretch it out a little on all sides. Next I would want to bring the outside edges inward just a tad to put a curve in the clip. As I am typing this, an idea just came to me. What if I use the fisheye filter and reverse it so the curve is further away from me. Wouldn’t that give me the bend I am looking for?
Another way to describe what I want to do is if you hold up a sheet of paper, then bring your hands closer together the paper will bend and you will have a nice curve. That is how I want the look of some video clips I am working on to end up.
Any ideas…suggestions???

You are going to need a third party program that will “Warp” your footage. After Effects and Boris Red can do this.

Zaxworks do a 3d warp plugin…
the CHV folks do something similar, Magic 3d i think its called…

Try a cylinder distort with a top and bottom curved mask perhaps?

OK what about Motion 3? Do you think I could use that for the warp effect?
