  • How to batch a watermark across multiple files

Posted by Randy Mcwilson on January 29, 2008 at 6:12 am

Is it possible to have After Effects place a standard watermark or small website banner at the bottom of a folder of several dozen video files of the same size? I need to protect a gallery of small video clips online, and I would like to have a small attribution graphical bug to discourage piracy or at least create awareness.

    thanks in advance

Depending on how you’re compressing this, it will probably be simpler to do this at the final stage. Generally your compression application will have an option to add a watermark. So, if you’re having to compress all your videos anyway, set this up as part of the batch job.

If you want to do this in After Effects, then by far the simplest way is just to copy and paste your watermark layer between compositions and add them to the render queue.

    Ben-thanks

I am just trying to avoid having to manually add the layer to each comp and then exporting. I have between 300-400 clips.

    thanks!
