  • How to ‘auto-sync’ in fcp?

Is there a way to do what auto-sync does in avid? I have multiple seperate audio and video clips that need to be merged. Fcp can merge just one clip at a time. Is there a trick to do a whole bunch of them? They clips have the same timecode.

    Pepijn,

You can’t do it straight out of the box.
    However, there are workarounds.

    Have a look here:

Download the demo. It comes with a BWF / QT merge application.
With this app. you can put the BWF inside the QT’s, based on TC and BWF timestamp. Should save you from the tedious manual labour.

Thanks Bouke. But I saved me some money this time by doing every clip manually, using “merge clips”. If this keeps happening I’ll buy your software!
