How to ‘auto-sync’ in fcp?

March 20, 2010 at 8:28 amIs there a way to do what auto-sync does in avid? I have multiple seperate audio and video clips that need to be merged. Fcp can merge just one clip at a time. Is there a trick to do a whole bunch of them? They clips have the same timecode.

You can’t do it straight out of the box.
However, there are workarounds.Have a look here:
https://www.videotoolshed.com/product/26/fcp-auxtc-readerDownload the demo. It comes with a BWF / QT merge application.
With this app. you can put the BWF inside the QT’s, based on TC and BWF timestamp. Should save you from the tedious manual labour.hth,
