  • How to assign tracks and audio outputs on fcpx (to write back to xddisc)

How export a project (the former sequence) directly back to a sony 530 xdcam? In FCP7 in order to
export a sequence to an xddisc i needed to change the audio sequence setting from dual mono to 8 outputs dual mono. After this step i had to ajust the overal audio level with -6 db. Now i could also chose that for example your general noice is on track one and your voice over is on track 2. How can i accomplice this with fcpx?

You can accomplish this with roles easily (in FCPX 10.0.1). Create and assign clips to each roll for each stereo pair (or mono channel) and then Share > Export Media. Selecting “Roles as multitrack Quicktime Movie” and then assign your roles to multitracks.

There are a few tutorials of this on YouTube from LAFCPUG that can help you out.
