  • How to animate the splitting of a blood vessel as if its burst

    Hey guys,

I’m not very good with cinema 4d, just been teaching myself with no real instruction.

What i’m trying to make at the moment, is a blood vessel bursting and letting blood cells leak out.

Got the blood cells part working fine, just trying to figure out how to make a blood vessel split realistically.

I thought if I could make 4 individual groups of polygons bend outwards making it look like its burst. I know how to disconnect polygons or split them from the main object, but how do I attach just one edge again to the main body and then make it bend only on the disconnected part?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can connect objects weld point using weldtool (hotkey M+Q). What you want is to hand animate each point. It will be easier to use morph tag if you have it.
You can also use cloth or a plugin like xbreaker depending on the structure of the cell.

Hoped it helped and have fun
