    Hello,
    i hoped anyone could please show,.
    1) how to align points and tangents on two different masks?

    Any help appreciated,

    How about using guides? Place guide(s) to point/tangent and then set additional mask to those guides.

    ..sure Dave, heres a near exact description:
    imagine mountains1 at the horizon, and another line of mountains2 just infront of it closer to the viewer.
    Both mountains have masks along their tops and bases, and what i need to do is align the mountainTop1 points and tangents on mask1, with the mountainTop2 mask2 points and tangents.(screenshot if needed)

    ie: need to align a mask point position&tangent with that of a different mask point, one at a time or all at once,

    If you are repeating masks across several layers, you might find it easier to use track mattes instead:
