How to add ProRes encoder in my porject!
I am a audio and video developer,Now I want to add ProRes Codec in my project.I found a great deal of information on the internet,but didn’t find any useful information.I know the ProRes encoder is integrated in the FCP.but don’t know how to use it.Some audio and video converter software include it ,like ClipWrap Converter(you can google it,but i think many people know it).So someone can help me or give me some useful information?I would be greatful!Thanks!

If you have Final Cut Studio installed on your Mac, you can encode your video using this codec in Compressor. To have ProRes playback on a variety of platforms, they need to have the ProRes decoder installed which is available from Apple.
Without Final Cut, you can’t encode in ProRes as it is part of the install and not available from Apple separately.

I mean, I want to add the Apple ProRes encoder into the development of my own video converter inside, just like ClipWrap this software, they have Apple ProRes Codec, they can be converted any other format into The Apple ProRes Format. I know that Apple ProRes Codec which is integrated in the FCP, and I want to use must be installed FCP.

I’m not a developer so I’m not an expert on this – but I am guessing that it would be difficult to license the ProRes codec to be included as part of your project.
The way it normally works (in applications such as Mpeg Streamclip) is that the application accesses your QuickTime component folder in your Library and whatever you have in that folder is used by the application. The application itself doesn’t include the codecs.

Yes,if the Mpeg-StreamClip and ClipWarp without FCP installed, Prores format can not be encoded. Their installation files do not Prores Codec files, but after installing the FCP can be encoded Prores format. This is how they do it? -
Well, if you note, CLipWrap2 and MPEG STREAMCLIP don’t include ProRes if you don’t have FCP installed on your system. Install them on a computer without FCP and ProRes is not an option. At least it wasn’t for a producer of mine who tried.

I think it definitely is able to achieve this function, at least the two software realized . This method I just do not know.
