How to actually wrap an image around an object
I have a package modeled that I’m trying to now wrap with the image of all of it’s sides. The image is the die cut for it, meaning it’s one image of it unfolded with all of the sides in proportion and what not. So far, since my views have always been the same, I’ve been able to get by with just using flat projection and scaling it to fit the front panel correctly, then splitting off the side and remapping an image of the side panel.
Is there a way to take the one image, and have it actually wrap around my model, which is built to the same size? I’ve run into the problem that the client now wants a back view, but the back is split in half on my image. Even if it only goes around horizontally, i can fake the top, I just don’t want to have to go into photoshop and have to remake every single back panel of this, (well over a hundred different versions so far).
Any ideas? I’m still relatively new to the program, so please forgive a little ignorance.
Thanks,
Rob
