How to achieve this effect? What plugin?
Hey all,
I’m new here but have already been helped my many of you, so thanks a lot. I’ve been looking to achieve this effect which looks like some kind of chroma distortion. I know this editor uses Final Cut and it looks like a third party plug in. Would really come in handy in my line of work.

I think this may be from one of the m distortion plug-ins from MotionVFX.com. You could also cook your own using three tracks of video, coloring each one a primary color, and keyframing an offset.
Magic Bullet, Nattress, and other companies also offer a set of these distortion or “bad tV” plug ins.
