    It may help to be a little more specific. Is this a commercial you’ve seen? Do you want to animate the speakers or sound-waves? etc etc

    If you are referring to the blueish or green lcd displays here is the way I would go about it:

    create your animations normally
    then, on an undjustment layer above everything, apply CC Ball action to simulate the LCD resolution, apply CC Toner to map your highlights/shadows to specific colors, and apply a glow effect to taste.

    Just one way to do it…someone else may have an easier way.

    i agree with scott. i have used ball action to recreate displays before. i found it needed to have levels added to it to take away the shading used to make the balls look spherical.
