  • How render Color and Alpha in separate files/bins ?

Posted by Philippe Bouyer on February 23, 2006 at 11:04 pm

    Hello,
In AE7 pro, I know how render my composition (which has transparent background) with its alpha in a targa or tif render, but I need to have image sequence in 2 different files (jpg at the final step); color and b/n alpha. I do not know how to do. Is it possible to launch only 1 render?
In advance thank for your help.

PS forgot to say, in the same time, I mean the same render/output. Not 2 pass. So is it possible?

Actually, it doesn’t render twice, it renders once and compresses twice.

Each frame is first rendered “pure” according to the render settings, then it is compressed or altered according to the settings in each output module. It’s the rendering that takes time, not the compression.

    Carry on … 🙂
