How much better is this NVidia Video Card better than mine?
I have been contemplating upgrading my current NVidia 440 GE Force card to something beefier to edit my video, and I would like to know if you could tell me how much better this “GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II Overclocked 2048MB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card” is, in comparison.

I have a budget of about $500, so I would also like to know if there is anything better out there that you might think I can buy with that ceiling.
Does the overclocking help my editing? I am using Vegas 11 and haven’t upgraded recently.

Your card is pretty much an antique these days so anything GTX 760 or higher is gonna be great. But do you have a motherboard with PCIe 3.0? If it supports PCIe 2.0 16x r newer your fine. I have the GTX 760 by the way and it’s a nice card – GTX 770 with 4GB is a bit better and still under budget…

Be aware of issues with the Nvidia Kepler cards and SVP….. Just a heads up…
