How long it takes to compress 88 minutes
Dear All
I am going to write 88 minutes theatre quality movie onto the blu ray disc. My computer is very good professional editing computer 8 gb of RAM I think so.
I am going to leave compressor making blu ray disk at night, so what do you think how long it requires. I am asking because time in some cases showing in compressor is not correct I have seen 3 hours remaining and in 30 minutes it was finished. So what is your experience in this?

Unfortunately this tells us nothing about the specs.
Setting up a QMaster Quick Cluster will speed encoding.
Using Matrox CompressHD or MXO2 with MAX will speed encoding more.
Setting up QMaster on a network to distribute encoding will speed it up as well.Personally I think CompressHD is money well spent.

Enable QuickCluster
Enable Share and Managed next to Compressor
Select some number of Services but I can’t recommend a setting because you haven’t posted system specs
In Compress when you select Submit, next to the work Cluster pull down This Computer and select the Cluster Name instead.CompressHD would like be a few times faster than QuickCluster. It could be around real time (88 Minutes) give or take the settings and some other factors.
