how long do they go?, adobe pp. 2.0
Can anyone tell me the maximum DVD length of film edited by APP2.0? ie. 2 hours, 4 hours…
I’m working on a documentary and wondering what my limitations are. Since its a docu. I can afford to comprimise quality a bit, but how would i go about doing it if thats possible.

The lower the quality you are willing to put up with, the longer it can run. I personally would never go more than an 1:15 or at most 1:30. Trying to get two hours on a single layer just compromises the quality way too much. Unless you shoot a lot of talking heads with stationary backgrounds, from a sturdy tripod. Then your material compresses a lot smaller without a problem.

Could you master it to a dual-layer DVD? Then get it pressed at a plant? Obviously depends how many copies you are doing as to whether it’s worth the cost, but ‘pressed’ DVD can hold almost twice as much as a standard DVD-R.
