Maybe you talk about this and i know how to change resoulution for my comps, but i got one template that i need to work on it, and i need to change resolution. Template have a lot of scenes, precompose layers, and all that is in big resolution. Is there any quick way i can just type resolution that i need and that all comps will be that resoultion, or i need to change main one and scale the others? Thanks in advance.

there is a script called ‘selected comps changer” that can change multiple comps all at once.

scroll down this page a bit to find it:
    https://www.crgreen.com/aescripts/

you may still need to scale up layers within those comps though…

however, if none of the layers in the nested comps are 3d layers and the nested comps themselves are not 3d layers, you may be able to try this trick:

    1. create a new comp sized layer in the main comp (at the original resolution).
    2. parent all layers to the new layer you just created.
    3. enable ‘continuously rasterize’ for the nested comps in the main comp.
    4. change the comp size of the main comp to the new resolution
    5. then select the layer that you created in step 1 and choose layer>transform>fit to comp (or fit comp width/height)

there can be some issues with doing it this way, but it’s worth a try.

i should make one adjustment to step 2: only parent the layers that are not parented to other layers to the new layer.

and there is a step 6: delete the layer you craeted in step 1.

Here, I made a simple script with ChatGPT.

you can select 1 or more comps. Than run the script from File/runscript.

Enter the new resolution and it will resize the comps to that resolution.

But it will not scale your content. Just resize the comps.
