How do you make a lense flare move across the screen?

Hi there,

Ive been trying to make a lense flare move but you have to move the layer that it is on. But how do you just have a lense flare moving without having a solid or layer moving behind it? I tried an adjustment layer but that didnt work, the lense flare just didnt move with it.

Any ideas?
