Is there a way to zoom out more in the provided timeline? Usually what I do is make the area bigger than I need and put the keyframes there. Then I trim the ends as I need to. Then click the zoom in/out buttons on the bottom of the effects control panel. They should look like small/large mountains. I hope this helps.
