  • How do you add simple effects?

I’ve been watching some videos online, namely The JonTron Show. I was wondering if some of the effects he uses in the video can be created with Vegas, or if another program is needed?

The most basic effect is having text appear on screen and move around, or similarly having an image ‘run’ it’s way onto the screen, spin around, warp and contort etc.

Also how can you zoom into a specific part of the video, or make the whole video screen rotate?

Just one more thing and it’s probably much more advanced, and whether if something needed another program it might be this one, but I’ll ask anyway.

    Example : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LPQ6nT4UpA

After the normalboots logo, JonTron’s intro consists of a video of him walking down some steps and on a walking path outside. Though he projects images of various videogames onto him in a silhouette effect. Does anyone have any clue how to do something similar to this?

Thanks, sorry for the bombardment of questions. 🙂

You can use 3D Track Motion in Vegas Pro to make any text or image move, flip, or rotate around the screen.

Zoom is best accomplished with Pan/Crop. You can then rotate with 3D Track Motion.

This is done with masking and compositing which can be done in Vegas Pro. The harder part is creating the mask. He may have done that with After Effects because as it has more powerful tools for rotoscoping the mask. Once you have the mask, you would composite that with whatever graphics you want to display inside of it.
