How do you add a light to the text.?

    (Area shape: Object/spline)
I need to get the text extruded and give light to it but the area light is taking only the spline and not the extruded text.

If i drop the text in Extrube NURBS i can only add light to one side by adding Cap1 or Cap2 to the area shape. But i want the whole big bulky text to be light up.

    Is it possible?

You have to make the extrude nurbs editable and then use the connect function to fuse the sides and caps. Then drag the resulting object into the light’s Object box.
