How do I use a hi con clip to create a transition
I’m sure the answer is right under my nose but I’ll ask anyway. I’d like to use some hi-con clips (erasing a chalkboard or a glass shatter for example) to get from clip A to B . I’ve tried stacking the tracks different ways each time going through all the composite modes and I don’t get a the desired effect. The video is from digibeta and comes in 10bit sdi to my MacBook Pro via Aja LD. What an I not thinking of? Thanks in advance for your help!

Incoming (first) video on track 1
High contrast video on track 2
Outgoing video on track track 3
Add edit on track 3 at the point when the high contrast clip ends.
On track three, on the video that is above the hi con clip – right click and go Composite Mode, Travel Matte – Luma.
How does it look.
Still Troubles?
Add a Color Corrector 3-Way to track 2 and make sure you peg the contrast (push the whires up and the blacks down.)
