  • How do I turn subclips to Master clips?

Posted by Kwesi Johnson on January 24, 2008 at 5:08 am

So, I deleted some media in a project to create room for the next one. Now, the client has come back and wants it to go online, so I have to bring media back. The problem is I brought in a whole tape, then subclipped everythin, and now I don’t have the space. Can I make the subclips I used into master clips, then redigg them?

    Thank’s for your help

I don’t know for sure, but can you duplicate the sub clips as new master clips (by right clicking on them and choosing to duplicate as new master clip) then recapture those clips?

I just ran a mini test and that should work.

the fastest way to do this is to use media manager. here is a link to a larry jordan article on how:

make sure you make a new project. that way you wont corrupt anything from your previous work

    hope this helps
