  • How do I stifle BatchMonitor.app warning?

Posted by Dylan Murphy on January 25, 2009 at 12:49 am

Whenever I send a job to compressor – my computer becomes useless because of the persistent popup warning:

“Do you want the application BatchMonitor.app to accept incoming network connections”

I’m not trying to do any distributed processing – is there anyway to kill this message? I have tried everything – qmaster sys prefs, batch monitor prefs, firewall settings – I can’t make it go away.

    Help!

We have this issue on one G5 dual 2.7, but it does not stop the processing. We leave the message up and let ‘er rip. Just can’t figure out why it started.

We have a similar system and we checked settings between the two but no luck so far.

Just wanted to chime in that it doesn’t affect our compressing, just displays an annoying message.

The only way I could make it go away was to go to SYS PREFS>SECURITY>FIREWALL

and check ALLOW ALL INCOMING CONNECTIONS at the top of the pane

not the most secure solution – but nothing else worked
