    Vic,

Welcome to vegas! Congrats on your first production.

Assuming you have not rendered the project yet, here’s what I do: First, save a copy of your entire project and title it ending in Disc 1 or D1 as this copy will serve as the first half. Seek out a good logical half way point and delete the rest of the project knowing that the original will serve as ‘part 2’ and is not lost. I usually put text saying ‘continued on Disc 2’ etc.

Then you can return to the file you originally copied and even rename it Disc 2 or D2. Here you simply delete the first half so it begins neatly where the other D1 left off, effectively creating two separate halves.

Here’s another advantage to this… you now have lots of extra space on each 4.7 gb dics to accomodate menus, additional shorts, blooper reels, etc. I assume you received Sony Architect 4.5 or higher with your Vegas? I create an entirely separte short project with titles and music as a menu screen. The learning curve is a little steep at first, but certainly worth it, and it adds a professional touch to your production. You tube is incredible for tutorials on different things.

REMEMBER! Make sure you have both halves saved before deleting stuff, or you’ll be crying bro.

    Cheers!
    Eddie
