How do I relink the hardware?
Sometimes (only sometimes) when working in AE with the Avid External Monitor on, the AE picture stays on my video monitor after AE is closed down. Then when I start Avid (Adrenaline 2.6)the picture is still there, and I must reboot it to get the Avid picture back. Is there a way to relink the adrenaline hardware with the software? Or must I always close it down and start it again?

This is just something that happens when you’re sharing your hardware between two programs.
Do you completely shut down the Avid program before you start AE? And do you completely shut down AE before you fire Avid back up? If so, and you’re still seeing the AE picture, try going into your Video Output settings and switch the output to something other than what it’s currently set on, then switch it back. Maybe Avid will regain control.
Otherwise, it’s usually a quick reboot to fix the issue.
