  • How Do I Move Video Between Lines (disable all snapping)

Posted by Ryan Quinn on November 27, 2010 at 8:32 pm

Hey guys, Im hoping someone can help me. Here is my problem

I am looping short video clips to make a beat. The only problem is the video wont align with the audio.

Is there a way to remove all snapping, I want my video clip to be able to move freely like my audio clip. when i get down to 16th notes the video will snap to a new frame and will not align over the audio.

I guess you can say i want to move video between the lines like audio is able to.

    any Ideas? Thanks guys.

“I want my video clip to be able to move freely like my audio clip”

You can do this by disabling “Quantize to Frames” but this is NEVER a good idea for video as it allows you to place a video frame at something other than the frame boundary which will cause you all kinds of grief.
While you can slide audio around in increments of 1/1,00th of a second or smaller, video is limited to moving it 1/30th of a second at a time and this is a rule that can’t be broken without serious consequences.
