  • How do i move Compositions from Project to Project?

Posted by Colin De jose on June 29, 2007 at 8:08 pm

Silly Question, but i just can’t figure it out. I have compositions in one project that i want to take to a better timeline, and i don’t want to render it and then put in a quicktime movie.

Should i just import the project into the new one and then delete the stuff i don’t want?

    Thanks,

As you said, you should just import the project and delete the stuff you don’t want.

A better way is to select the comp(s), from the Project Panel, that you want to keep or bring into another AEP and then goto File->Reduce Project.

That will delete all other comps but it will retain related precomps. This makes the Project Panle lean and much easier to incorporate into other AEPs.

    Cheers
