  • How do I make “Smooth” the default keyframe shape?

    Friendly greetings!

I use the “Smooth” keyframe curve type a lot more than the default “Linear”. Is there a way I can set it to default to “Smooth”? I’ve researched documentation and the closest thing I’ve found is selecting all keyframes in a clip, right-clicking and choosing Smooth, but that’s tedious. It becomes even more tedious when I have to do it across multiple clips in a project.

Also in a similar line of thought, is there a way I can do this with “Disable Resampling”? I notice “Smart” — which is the default — was making too many blurs on my projects.

Thanks so very much in advance!

What version of Vegas are you using and is it Pro or Movie Studio?

I’m on Vegas Pro 9.0, thanks for asking.

Options | Preferences | External Control & Automation

Here you will find all the selectable Default options for Keyframes.

    Grazie

Grazie, thanks for filling in for me 🙂

Torley, I can’t find any way to do this with “Disable Resampling”, even in the internal prefs 🙁

Bingo! Thanks so much Graham and Mike — that’s one very repetitive series of steps removed from my workflow.

The Disable Resampling is less of a deal; would be nice to do it, but at least I’ve ruled it out as a “feature I couldn’t find” in the meantime.

    Thanks again.
