  • How do I keep 16×9 footage constant in Timeline?

Posted by Travis Stewart on November 9, 2010 at 4:08 am

I have set sequence settings at 16×9 for the footage I am editing. The first clip I bring in from my footage comes in fine, no rendering required and shows up in the Viewer as 16×9. But if I attempt to bring in a different clip later on in the footage, it wants to render it and doesn’t want to show it in 16×9 (it has borders on the left and right instead, even after rendering). All these clips are coming from the same captured footage, and all of it is in widescreen. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Check that the anamorphic flag is checked on for all the clips. You can select them all and set the anamorphic check if it’s not set.

    All the best,
