    Hi,

I am doing the cast and crew credits for a short. I did the basic layout in an external text editor. Now how do I get it in? I exported the text as a text file, but Motion doesn’t seem to recognize it. The main reason I did it this way was that I can not figure out how to do the exact sort of layout I want, within Motion. I don’t want all that much, just column down the middle where the two columns of text meet evenly. You see it all the time. Can’t figure that out in Motion, so I did it in Appleworks and want to bring that in. Any help is appreciated.

    thanks
    Chris

The traditional way is to build the text in Motion as 2 objects, one right-aligned (for the left column) and the other left-aligned (for the right column).

Next both elements in a new layer and line them up so they match with the correct text on each line, then animate the roll by animating the master layer.
