    hello experts,

    i just shifted from windows to mac … sony vegas to FCP

    can some guide me how do i import dv footage in FCP
    i have done shooting in DV format 720×576 in 16:9 format… and grabbed on windows in .avi format… (still i am unable to grab on my tcp so on windows)

    so can i convert this footage in proves 422 . mov format??? i guess that the best format for FCP

    guide me…

    You use Log and Capture from your video camera to capture into FCP. Your avi files from Vegas will not work in FCP. Converting them to Prores won’t be any better than the original tape.

    is that mean i can’t use .avi file in fcp…

    i have alread imported it and i can edit also… so is there any future problem in editing with same problem..

    still one problem…. i can’t send this .avi format in “apple color”….

    in short i m bit confused so please do guide me…
