  • How do I get colon mark instead of punctuation mark between numbers?

Every time I try to show the time with the Numbers Effect in After Effects It always ends up with a punctuation mark instead of a colon between the numbers. Is there any way I can change this?

Are you using the “Timecode” type in the Numbers effect?

Personally, I’d use an expression on a text layer like I described in your other thread [link] for maximum control. What input do you have, exactly, and how do you want to format it? More context, more better!

I’m using the “Time” Type in the Numbers effect. I’ve senn many Youtube videos that uses the same technique, but they all get the colon mark between the numbers, I get the punctuation mark.

    Instead of this:

I want to have it shown like this:

Does your OS or Ae install use a language other than English?

Check this out for how to format time with a text layer and expression:

Yes, my OS is in Norwegian, but AE is in English. I will check out the link you gave me. Thanks.
