  • How do I get 15-20 Mbps bitrate in Media Encoder settings

Posted by Hilary Tsai on January 21, 2019 at 9:50 pm

I apologize if this is too obvious a question; I’m following a spec sheet that requires videos to be exported in h.264 and with15-20 Mbps bitrate. I have no problem with the first part, but all I’m seeing are high or medium bitrate options. Which one will get me within the 15-20 range for an h.264 format? I’m running Aftereffects and Media Encoder version 2017 (for both)

Edit: I realized just now that the “high bitrate” settings on h.264 automatically put the bitrate to a max of 12mbps. Is there a way to make it higher?

    Thanks!
