I’m definitely no expert when it comes to FCP but compared to my knowledge of photoshop I’m a genius.

So could someone give me pointers on how to get nice smooth non jaggie text from photoshop please?

I’m doing a logo/ident at the moment and the text I’m bringing across, looks a bit jaggie.

My photoshop save preset is 1280x720x72 16 bit and within FCP.

Also I did a few of these logos yesterday and as usual the psd comes across like a sequence in FCP, today however, I brought a file over and it still calls it a .psd but the symbol is different it no longer looks like a sequence (or opens like one) but rather a normal clip with an ABC in the middle of it, what have I done differently?

What version of Photoshop are you working in and what’s the pixel dimension? Are you using the Film & Video presets when you set up your document?

And what are you sequence settings? And what’s the intended delivery?

As for the ABC icon, I’ve no idea why it’s now different.
