  • How do I directly replace a clip in FCP timeline?

Posted by Elijah Lynn on January 17, 2009 at 5:40 pm

    Hi,

I have a timeline where I had to convert some clips to another format. I used “reconnect media” to replace the clip while leaving the transitions and everything else intact. What I didn’t realize until just now is that it replaced the browser clips too and it rippled through my other sequences. I can undo this but I need to figure out how to replace clips with rerendered clips in one timeline as efficiently as possible without affecting other timelines.

    Thanks

F11. The manual explains the exact steps. Hint, do not use in/out points in your timeline. Set in point in your browser window.
