How do i create a subclip/sequence in fcp?

bring the master clip into the viewer. Mark in and out. Drag from the viewer into your bin.

After you mark I/O use Modify Make Subclip (Cmd-U). Simply dragging it back to the browser just makes an affiliate clip.
