    How do I convert 4:3 footage to 16:9?

    How do I properly convert footage shot in 4:3 to 16:9?

    I’m having problems in the sence that the footage looks like it has
    interlace issues when panning after it’s been converted.

    Am using the pan/crop tool to first crop the image and then stretch it. The
    aspect ratio is perfect.

    I also tried putting a 4:3 clip in a 16:9 project and clicked ‘match aspect ratio’ and it’s still looking interlaced/venetian blind effect, on movement.
