  • How do I compress movie files by dropping into a “conversion” folder?

Posted by Olivier Prudhomme on June 18, 2015 at 7:13 pm

I worked at a place where we would export our sequence as a full rez file and then drag/drop into a folder where the file would be automatically transcoded.
    I know it wasn;t a vision 🙂

anybody knows what I am talking about?

    Thx

I did and all i found was what I do now but it requires too many click to choose location and then Submit.
I am looking for the simple action of drag/drop a file into a folder and the conversion starts automaticallly.

    thx though

That’s exactly what a Droplet allows you to do. You make a preset in compressor and use that to create a Droplet that sits on your desk top. All you need to do to use is to just drag your file onto it, answer a question or two and it will take care of everything else. Quick, simple and idiot proof.
